Introduction
In this project we needed to construct a ballistic device that would launch a confetti egg at least 20 feet by launching it at three different angles. After brainstorming, designing, and also redesigning, our team eventually made a successful ballistic device that launched the confetti egg 35 feet at the angle of 75 degrees.
Explanation of Testing Data and Procedures
The materials we used to create the launcher was; wood, a bungee cord, screws, and nails. The first prototype that Ryan and I made during this project was very complex. When the first device we made was tested, it did not work at all. We had way too much resistance on the launcher device and the egg would not go as far as planned. We had to go back to the drawing board. We ending up making a much simpler launching device than before. When we tested this simple device, the egg went much farther than the first launcher. During the final testing, we acquired the angles for launching by placing pieces of wood that were cut at different angels under our launcher. There were three different launching angles that we would launch the egg at, and we launched two eggs per angle. The angles were 30 degrees, 50 degrees, and 75 degrees. At 30 degrees, our confetti egg went 15 feet, and 13 feet. At 50 degrees, the egg went 20 feet the first time, and then 19 feet the second time. Then, at 75 degrees the egg went 23 feet and 35 feet. The launcher preformed the best at an angle of 75 degrees. The simple design that Ryan and I were able to create was able to launch the egg a minimum of 20 feet.

Description
The final product that we made was constructed from only using wood as a base, and a bungee cord as the launcher. At the front of the launcher there were two wood poles that were screwed into the base of the launcher. A bungee cord was hooked onto both poles and then can be pulled back, creating a slingshot like launching device. The egg was placed in a pouch made from duct tape that was taped to the bungee cord and then the cord was pulled back and would launch the egg.
